1 Run 2 Remember Ready to Go!

This weekend (Saturday, June 9) will be the the second 1 Run 2 Remember in support of the Cornwall Alzheimers Society on the Long Sault Parkway.
The race is a 5km chase starting at Milles Roches beach and looping around Macdonell Island. Surface is road, grass and unpaved road along the St. Lawrence River.
At the finish you will be treated with Ice Cream and other treats. There will be many prizes including a membership to Any Time Fitness.
Registration starts at 8:30 am and race is at 10:00 am.
Entry to the Parkway is free if you are attending the race.

1 Run 2 Remember 5 km Chase Results

The results are in! The 5 km Chase was enjoyed by 38 runners on the Long Sault Parkway. Great weather and new pavement allow allowed everyone to have a great run on the shore of the St. Lawrence River.

Ready for the Race


Every runner will receive a yellow Alzheimer Society shoelace to wear during the race. After the race you can use it to show your support for the people and families living with Alzheimer's and related diseases.
Don't forget registration opens at 8:30 a.m. at the Milles Roches Beach located on the Long Sault Parkway.
The Alzheimer Society of Canada identifies, develops and facilitates national priorities that enable its members to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's and related diseases, promotes research and leads the search for a cure.

Where and When

Here are the important details about the race that you might want to know.
Cost to register is $25.00.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the first runners leave at 10 a.m.
Prize for the person with the most pledges.
Free BBQ for all runners after the race.
Every runner will receive a yellow Alzheimer shoe lace to help them remember those that are living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Details About the Chase

What is a “Chase”?
A “Chase” style run allows for gender/age neutrality. Your start time is based on your age and gender.
An example would be like this:
A female between the ages 40-44 would have a 4 minute head start over a male aged 20-34.

The winner is the first person that crosses the finish line.
For the 1 Run 2 Remember Chase, we will be awarding the first 3 males and first 3 females with medals.
It is a really fun way to run a 5 km race. Not to mention that the Chase runs along the shore of the St. Lawrence river. This is going to be one run to remember...
